Access to Information Request and Protection of Personal Information

The Town of Bruderheim is driven by accountability and transparency to our community.

On June 11, 2025, the Government of Alberta proclaimed two new acts, replacing the Freedom of Information and Protection of Privacy Act.

A variety of public records are available on this website or for viewing at the Town office. Some records are not public, as information provided is protected by exemptions as per Alberta's Access to Information Act (ATIA).

The Act provides access to information held by public bodeis, specifically information which is not already publicly available, either on the Town of Bruderheim website or by other means.

Private Information is protected under the Protection of Privacy Act (POPA) This Act controls the collection, use and disclosure of personal information by a public body. It allows individuals to request corrections to personal information about themselves.

How to make an Access to Information Request:

  • Complete the Request Access to Information Form.
  • Pay the fee of $25 by cheque, cash, debit, e-transfer (info@bruderheim.ca), or credit card (2.5% processing fee does apply). Requests will only be processed after this initial fee has been paid.
