Street Sweeping

Update May 4th, 2018

Due to mechanical breakdowns of contractor's equipment and a lack of street sweeping contractors to hire throughout the province, the Town's street sweeping program must be completed in segments:

  1. Remove the majority of heavier debris on main arterial roads (this is currently being completed)
  2. Complete a second pass on main arterial roads to remove remaining debris and CLEAN THE GUTTERS (will be completed later in May as street sweeping contractors become available)
  3. Sweep residential streets (tentatively scheduled for May 7th to 12th)

Updates will follow. Thank you for your patience.

Please watch for "No Parking" signs in your neighbourhood and move vehicles from the streets during this time in order to assist Public Works in removing all debris from gutters and roadways.

Residents can also:

  • Sweep sidewalks and/or driveways to sweep gravel and dirt onto the road.
  • Clear the road. Remove all rubber driveway mats (curb ramps) and any other on-street obstructions, such as basketball nets and waste collection carts.

Please watch this page for further updates...

Thank you for your cooperation and patience.
