Every family should have an emergency kit.

Label a box "Emergency Kit", and fill it with the items listed below and any other items you think may be useful to your family during a crisis situation. Place the box somewhere in your home that is easily accessible and ensure that every family member knows where it is. Examine the contents of your kit at least once each year.

Each kit should contain:

  • high energy foods and bottled water
  • towel for sealing the bottom of the door
